Also known as "Morgan's War Song," "Cheer, Boys, Cheer!" had its origins in an earlier British song. According to Scott Williams of the Morgan's Men Association, the song was "possibly taught to Morgan's men by George St. Leger Grenfell, a British soldier of fortune, [who] became a distinguished member of Morgan's staff with the rank of Colonel."
